Description
Electro Funk was another name used to describe this style of Hip Hop which used heavy bass but also electronic elements from keyboards to sound and vocal effects. My graffiti spirit character in this painting is floating on painterly elements of an abstracted background. The duality and surrealism of the character play into the 80’s style of album cover art. This painting was created for an exhibition at Art Basel in 2018.
Creation Date: 2018 Medium: Mixed media on Canvas Size: 32 x 36 x 2 in Weight: 5.5 lbs
